Boss VB-2W

Post by johnnyseven »

Yep, Boss are releasing a Waza Craft VB-2W with a custom switch - but I have no idea what that does. There's also a load more new stuff including a Waza Craft amp, Vocoder pedal and a new Bass Compressor pedal.

That should wreck the overinflated prices for second hand VB-2s ;)

They also announced a smaller version of the ES-8 pedal switching thing they released last year. I thought that looked ace but was £500.

The ES-5 is smaller but also moar cheapz (£329 at Andertons):

Mooer are also releasing something similar (the L6):

Jeez. Andertons have the VB-2w up for £159.

Maybe it won't affect the second hand prices after all.

Also that compressor. I don't know why, but I want a compressor.

I'd a brief look at the amp, it looks like some sort to metal machine? Solid state?

I wish these had been around a few years ago. The fact that you can't patch any effects in during the 'bypassed' state is the main thing stopping me from opening the big one. There's a 'volume pedal loop', but that gets removed from the signal path when you bypass the unit too, boooo

From Boss's 45 second video, it sounds like a ZZ Top amp. It's solid state, probably has some digital modeling witchcraft in it.

And power tubes? The plot thickens with this amp.
