No I only use it for a heavy distorted lead sound with a lot of mids dialed in . I wondered if the Meteal zone was digital because it seems that other pedals of Boss like the CH 1 chorus and the PH 3 phase shifter are digital I am toldNickS wrote:Schematics for the MT-2 show all analogue. It would be overkill really, unless e.g. you want crunch at any input level (Line 6 Crunchtone?)
I own the PH 3 and never expected it to be digital
There's a list of which Boss dirt pedals are analogue or digital here: http://www.stompboxzone.com/forum/viewt ... f=3&t=3068

We call the new type of this model, CH-1A for identifying the old type and new type for convenience on service system.
Although the model name will change from “CH-1 to “CH-1A, the product pedal is still labeled “CH-1.
The appearance of “CH-1 and “CH-1A are the same. Identify by the serial number or the model name that is silk-screen printed on the board.
