Reverb pedal advice

The reverb handles on my Strat, Jag, and Mustang have all broken, and since I sold my Spring King I've had nothing. So, seeing how I'm no longer destitute I need advice on a new pedal. I want versatility and a step away from the Spring King, though I did like it, it felt somewhat limited, and when it was off it wasn't properly off (lack of true bypass?).

I am well out of the pedal game by now, so please be gentle and patient.

The amp I'm using is an Orange AD30 HTC.

Cost wise I'd say I'm looking to spend around Â£60-Â£80.

I'm thinking second hand Holy Grail, but there seem to be so many models I don't known where to start.

I have the tc electronics hof mini and it's great subtle spring to all out wash.

CAME IN HERE TO POST THIS. Toneprint pedals are great (and make me feel like I'm living in the future). I've got the mini, would spring for the regular if I had the cash, but only because I like tweaking (that said, you can tweak to the Nth degree with the Toneprint editor software, too). PM me your address if you want to borrow mine to try for a couple of weeks x

Heard good things about the hof, but I love my Memory Man with Hazarai so much that I'm inclined to suggest EHX. I'd prolly choose a Cathedral over a Holy Grail, but they're both good choices.

Digitech Polara is really good.

I bought a Malekko Spring Reverb because I just wanted a drippy surfy reverb and not much else. It's quite good for that.

Catalinbread Topanga Reverb is pretty good too, one of my friends has that one.

I kinda hate TC Electronic stuff. Maybe they're vesatile and sound good but just something about them is just kinda sterile to me. They're not dangerous at all.

Probably not what you're after but it was $70 used and very versatile (when it comes to soundscapes and weird noises, hard to dial in any normal reverb or slapback.)

The TC reverbs are cool but I agree they're a little sterile, I have trinity t2 verb pedal which is cool but the spring sound kind of sucks so I'm planning on upgrading to the strymon flint when I have the money.

Holy grail is rad. That's the one I use but in the epitome enclosure but it's basically the same with a few extra features. If the spring King is the Dan electro reverb then that's my other favorite. It's weird but very cool.

The Polara could be good as it has most of the same algorithms as the Digitech RV-7, except the Gate reverb which is changed out for the Halo setting. The RV-7 does a really good spring and its other settings sound the closest to my rack-mounts than my other verb pedals(RV-2, RV-3, Digiverb).
You could pick up a used RV-7 in your price range.

Well, shit. It's a bit out of your price range, but I have to recommend the Dr. Scientist Reverberator.

It's small, it has tons of reverb sounds, AND it has a volume control. If I'm going for a "set it and forget it" reverb, this is the one.

Why not doing it the old fahioned way , just put an extra cabinet at the back of the stage ?

No serious , the Mooer skyverb is a good pedal for the money and it costs around 70 euros

Vanamps solemate is good, I've scored 2 for $150ish Canadian. Not "traditional" but the mr black supermoon is pretty much my go to reverb now

I don't know about other regions, but the market over here is flooded with RV-7s to be found in the affordable zone, and it's not like all the charm is lost. They may be a tad "safe" but they don't really have a bad setting.

I would recommend this if you can't find a used RV-6 (which I have and like).

I would also recommend the Zoom MS-70CDR--lots of reverb choices and and you can even combine different reverbs, if you like. It has lots of delays and modulations, too.
