Yea, my bad. I was overtired and annoyed at something else. I shouldn't have said that.
You're not even a bad player. I don't know what I was thinking.
You're a nice dude and a great poster and I'm an idiot right now.

No worries. I have been called way worse. To be honest, I know I am not a good player. I do have fun trying to get better. I probably have as many guitars as I do because I use them as projects to fill my down time. I enjoy working on them and customizing them. There are only a small handful of guitars that I have left completely stock. I just like fiddling with them and playing them. :)

You made a thread on here about a SLIPKNOT MOTHER FUCKER guitar (and aren't Fran). You got off pretty lightly.

You sure have a ton of great gear for a subpar player.
Not as bad as Robroe though, so you got that going for you.
Fucking hell

HNB wrote:I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea because it is pretty off of a typical Jazzmaster, but I think I will dig it. Since I sold my Rickenbacker, I thought it would be a good one to try. If you follow my builds, it actually makes a lot of sense really. I did matte/satin black finish. American standard hard tail string trough bridge is one of my favorites. I like humbuckers in guitars. Now I haven't ever tried active ones like the EMG's this has, but the sound demos sound pretty good. The locking tuners should be nice. I might miss a tone knob, but honestly I don't really use it on any of the guitars I have. I think the Strat Plus neck plate shape might be nice and I love strap locks on my guitars. (I did order some black Dunlop ones since that is what I use.)

Traditional it is not. It wasn't meant to be. It was intended to be a more contemporary interpretation with some modern rock features. I got mine coming from Guitar Center in Oregon. I guess it is used, but in mint condition with all it's stuff. (Hard case, etc.) They told me on the phone that the guy who bought it is just kind of an offset collector and maybe played it twice. Looking forward to trying it out. Not sure how I will get along with the jumbo frets and compound radius, but it should be ok. Some of my guitars have 12 radius so it isn't too different.

I was able to get one 2nd hand off of my buddy who buys guitars and doesnt even know how to play. I traded him an old nylon acoustic i had and $500 for it. Absolutely love it. I have the Tele, the Jazzmaster, and I'm thinking of getting the strat.
Im just here because it's cheaper than a movie.

Thankfully I'm a sociopath, otherwise I would have lost some sleep over it. But yeah, I absolutely love it. Im a huge Root fan, so this guitar was a must for me. Honestly I would also like to get my hands on one of his silverburst customs Fender made for him. Those are sexy.

I've tried these in a Sam Ash or Guitar Center . The Tele and The Jazzmaster .
Pretty cool guitars . Super simple . I couldn't justify the price point at full retail but I thought they were cool . The Jazzmaster sounded and felt nothing like a Jazzmaster . It was fun to play though. Especially through an Orange AD30. Great for punk. Super hot pickups ( obviously). The neck felt identical to my Billy Corgan Strat to the shape and satin finish. If anything it reminded me of the higher end Charvel Skatecaster but with a satin neck.
The tele I thought sounded identical but the neck feel was 100% tele

If they did this guitar with some sort of trem as an option, I would be so crazy for that shit. I know it's because he's in SLIPKNOT MOTHER FUCKER and stuff and guitars get busted yadayada whatever - SLIPKNOT MOTHER FUCKER should do some fucking songs with divebombs in them. Pricks.

HNB wrote:Not the first time I have had someone say I shouldn't own so many guitars because:

I am not in a band.

I am not a touring musician.

I play just as a hobby for fun.

I am not a very skilled player.

Etc.

People can think what they want about how I spend the money I earn, what I spend my free time doing, and what I do that makes me happy. I appreciate what I have and enjoy them. I do not really feel there should be purchasing limits and requirements for musical instruments. I feel like people should do what they enjoy. Some people are happy with just one guitar. Some are not. I don't judge either group because it isn't up to me what they do. While I don't play the best, many say I play like crap, I enjoy playing what I can and have fun modding and playing what I have.
i'm glad u are buy guitars instead of guns! if u get drunk and kill your family with a guitar then u go straight to SlayerHell and become immortal!
