Adding a remote jack?

Post by GreenCustom24 »

Hey guys. I've been kicking around an idea for a new pedalboard. They are 2 or 3 pedals out there I'm interested in that have 2 footswitches (On/Off and Boost, for example). The way I'd have the board set up I'd place these pedals towards the back of the pedalboard (where is rather difficult to reach smoothly) and operate them with a looper pedal (like an Iguana Tail or something) that'd sit up front.

I've been curious how difficult it'd be to add a remote jack to one these pedals so I could operate the second switch on the fly from the front of the board? I'm sure I couldn't do it myself as I'm somewhat modtarded... I can barely solder. Ha But would it be difficult to do and potentially expensive? And would anyone here be able to assist with such a thing when the time came?

wouldn't it be easier to rehouse them in a case that's twice as long, that way you get the best of both worlds: you can put it in the back row and have the switch in the front row?

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

You'd have to look at it on a case-by-case basis (no pun intended). Which pedals were you looking at?

Mainly the Mesa Boogie Throttle Box EQ and the EH Deluxe Big Muff.

Can't find a schematic for the Mesa Boogie pedal. I can only find a schematic for the old Deluxe Big Muff.
