That is so cool. Love how the rosewood fretboard incidentally fits the motif. What's the deal with the new neck? The grain on that last fingerboard was stunning.

The new neck's fretboard is Macassar ebony.

Scott reccomended it to me because of the range of color and the cool flow the piece he had in stock has. He thought it would fit my theme well being the dark part of the maple neck for my opposite theme.

All assembled and rocking! I am super happy with this one. It sounds great and it has a wonderful feeling neck. The weight is fine and I am digging the more traditional short scale as opposed to my other custom ones that are full scale.

I am pretty over the moon with this guitar. That "I want to try out this guitar next." or "I kind of want to build this kind of guitar to see if I like it." feels like it is gone with this one. It has awesome sound and it is super comfortable to play. The contours fit great standing and the more squared tele roundovers make it sit on my lap great. The humbuckers are two of my favorite pickups. I like that the bridge is bright and the neck has more bass, but isn't muffled or muddy sounding. Simple volume and control with a toggle just makes it simple, but really great. My only beef is that middle and neck position sound basically the same. Not sure if I could change that. I have messed with pickup height and nothing has changed it.

Since I tend to favor the bridge most of the time anyways, I don't see that being a crushing issue.
