I personally don't see why anyone would want to check out or review a guitar that he or she thought looked like crap. There are so many nice guitars out there that don't look like crap.

Looking forward to your review. I like the spider and he use to offer a 6 string version of the Wolf with 3T sunburst and blackpickguard that looked like something out of the old Sears catalog on acid that was unique and kinda cool.
I'm still on the fence about which one I will get. Even though I have money to throw at this, I don't know how willing I am to throw money at the assumed re-set up I am going to have to do when I get it. And I know that I am going to sand off the finish of the head stock because it sucks and all. IDK. I've always wanted a firebird, but the reviews ive seen on the HLK version have been especially awful. So who knows.
Im just here because it's cheaper than a movie.

because i have a friend who likes them, and i can refinish them. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Why not just spend a fraction more and get one of these:

at the risk of sounding pretentious, if I am buying a Gibson, I am buying a high end gibson.

Fair enough. Hope it works out for you.

I'd prefer to just grab a nice CV Squier and not bother with the refin.
