Just pulled the trigger on this... 25" scale with DeArmond Pickups.

Nice, I really like mine, although it's had some upgrades (Mojo Goldfoil pups, B3, white button tuners, new 4-way pot thats supposed to be serial/parallel but I fucked it).
Nice that you got the D'Armond goldfoils rather than the stock fake TV Joneses; I emailed them a while back about getting a pair for mine but they totally blanked me, total asswholes
The scale's 24 3/4, mind- don't you be boasting to all the gals about that extra quarter inch, Cowbell...

Weird, it's about as light as the Jazzmaster I had, not heavy at all.Nick wrote:Nice. I'm always thrown off by how heavy they are considering how close they look to the originals. I think Doog has a black one. It looks cool in red.
I defo prefer the solid body of this reissue, even if it's not vintage-correct. Did love that mid-60s Silvertone 1448 I tried out last year though.. lovely, but not for me.

I'm glad to know you actively own/play one because I aspire to be you...
Seriously though, I do feel better knowing you own one because you play A LOT and aren't one to B.S. about guitars.
I feel like these are hidden gems, and I would love to own teh vintage one but if I spent the $$ to get teh vintage I know it would probably cost me $$ to get it to play worth a damn.

Totally, these things play like budder; love the radius and the neck profile; it feels like the perfect fit for me and my weird alienhands.More Cowbell wrote:Seriously though, I do feel better knowing you own one because you play A LOT and aren't one to B.S. about guitars.
