aaahhh, i love it! that or a jr. with a p-90 in the bridge. that would be it. i have had a few sg's two epis and one gibson. i couldn't get along the nut width. at the time i was listening to a good bit of black sabath so i really wanted that big muff sg sound, but, meh. i preferred my fenders and shitty distortion pedals more.

Would be cool if Epiphone made Les Paul Deluxes.

There was a shop in Putney selling a 1972 one for £1300 iirc. Was like seven years ago.

I've always been curious to try one. Ever since seeing this one.

I had a Deluxe a couple of years back, a '74. Sounded good but didn't hand around that long. I had a pretty high turnover of gear at the time, and there are better Les Pauls.

Not really a LP guy, but that's a nice one. Needs the guard. Les Pauls look really odd without them.
I prefer SGs and Firebirds.

Thanks man, sweet guitar. Was yours new? I got mine used and a little banged up so that was why it was cheap. It's a 2012 with a backed maple fretboard. What kind of pickups are in yours? Mine has a 490R and a 498T.

Thanks, dude. Mine was new from Sam Ash, they had it at a reduced price since it was last years model. And I traded a guitar plus a bunch of other stuff to lower the price. Ahh ok, yours looks new even though it's used. Couldn't tell unless there was some serious damage. And if it's a 2012 model that would explain it too. I asked why mine was so cheap and the guy at Sam Ash said they put older models on clearance to get rid of them. Mine is a Mahogany neck with Rosewood on top.
Mine also has the same pickups as yours, 490R and 489T.

I'm thinking of switching out the bridge humbucker, its not bad just not the tone I'm looking for. Its a bit to twangy and trebly, I want more body and low end but not to much. The neck humbucker is perfect otherwise.

I thought you sold that Melody Maker, didn't you have an Epi LP Special as a replacement for it?
