Pedal Building for Commercial Resale - how to?

Post by jagsonic »

ok, let's face an idea: if i do some pedals and want to sell them commercial, for what should i think about? I live in germany, so i have to solder unleaded. Do i need a CE-sign? Something else?!?

Sure i need a trading license and tax and so...

Just look up the EU regs. German regs should be EU regs no?

Not if you're going to sell on forums.

But if you do decide to go large-scale, you will need to advertise and also have good graphics on the cases in order to sell.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

There's this ad near me, and every single time I see it I subconsciously substitute in Bagofdix.

i wouldn't worry about certification or tax until you have been up and running and know you will continue to grow for 2+ years

Start casual

Zero point in investing all that time money and energy if you're not sure you

- have a product people want
- have the energy and inclination to do the hard graft and tedious shit that is involved

Have you built and sold anything yet?
If so how many pedals? What profit margin?

Sort all that other crap out first

We have that in the states as well. Used to work at a mom and pop health food store (snake oil industry).
Never thought of it in that way though hahaha
