Gibson 2018 Lineup
Moderated By: mods
And speaking of the 2018 line-up...
Moody's has lined-up Gibson for 2018 to a lower Caa3 rating (dropping the 2nd time in 16 months + "negative outlook") , with a juicy $520,000,000 debt to roll over, Beethoven Henry. LANK

They're still flogging the "robot" tuning thing, aren't they. FFS.
The electric blue 'burst is kinda cool, but then I seem to have weird tastes when it comes to LP-style guitars anyway - I've never liked the look of goldtops, and an LP without a pickguard looks "off" somehow.
Besides, I'll just look at the price tags, think "bollocks to that," and save up for something MIJ instead.

Love that new Gibson smell^ I believe it's the polishing compound they use to gloss up the fully finished ones on an arbor.
I was sent running from intrigue in new Gibsons in mid 2014 with the dumbass spec change/price hike combo looming, and never looked back. The only guitar it really prevented me from buying was a Junior, to be fair... but that same year I paid $800 for my '67 Melody Maker D and $450 for my '74 SG-II, and could probably do without all my other guitars except them if I wasn't such a hoarder and nerd. I think the modern company putting me off was meant to be.
