Hello,
This is my first post here, I've lurked quite a while and have found lots of valuable insights. I'm trying to plan out a guitar build inspired by the Electric XII. I plan to have a six-stringed guitar with the same body shape as the XII. I intend to use Curtis Novak Electric XII neck pickup and JM-FAT bridge pickup. I want to wire them with 1 meg pots with a 6 position rotary switch. Also, have a Warmoth Jazzmaster neck & Toronado hardtail bridge. I have two questions:
A. I know Jazzmasters have a really similar body shape, but I really want the exact body shape as the XII. Is there someone who could make a body with the XII shape but with a Jazzmaster neck heel, and routed for JM in bridge and the normal XII pickup in the neck?
B. Is it possible to wire the 6-position rotary the following way:
1. Neck
2. Neck + Bridge (parallel)
3. Neck + Bridge (series)
4. Neck + Bridge (out of phase)
5. Neck (Like the Jazzmaster rhythm circuit with all controls open)
6. Bridge
Thanks for all your help!
