Smack me in the face. I'm GASsing for a PRS Multifoil

Post by mkt3000 »

Remember, I'm only American because of my passport - Spanish is still my first language, and I grew up listening to bands like Soda Stereo and Caifanes at the same time I was listening to Nirvana and Soundgarden.

ANYWAY.... I'm working an all nighter tonight, because creative director responsibilities. And to keep my mind awake, I put a Soda Stereo concert on youtube.

If you don't know who they are, here's the REALLY condensed version. They were a band from Argentina who ended up becoming the Beatles of Latin America (think I'm kidding? They have their own Cirque Du Soleil show), and the lead singer and guitar player died in 2014 after spending years in acoma.

So yeah, in the video, he's playing a PRS Multifoil for part of the show, and all I can think is.... "fuck, he made it look cool. Now I need one" Maybe it's because it doesn't have the ridiculous bird inlays.

Eh, I bought a Burny MG-145s Hide model for similar reasons. Whatever floats your boat.

That said, I had like 15 years to mull over the purchase...maybe think on it for a few days at least, longer if it's super expensive.

That's an acceptably gonzo choice; "cartoony" will always win over "tacky faux-classy lawyer shit".

This guitar looks like it should come with a set of matching toe rings, ahd have 'Live, Laugh, Love' written across it in cursive

it also looks like it should come with some nose rings, some plugs for your ears and a metal chain necklace

You're correct.

From now on I'll go to bed at a reasonable hour.

He was always a do-his-own-shit kind of player. He'd use a Jackson with EMGs and a Floyd for clean songs, and a G&L Tele for distorted songs.
