yaaaaaaa bitches so i dont have it yet BUT, its supposed to be delivered today. its like 2:30 am so thats about 12 hours from now so when it happens i'm plugging my mic in and recording an fuzz wah demo. never used a wah pedal before so its proobably gonna suck but fuck it dudes its my time to learn now. i'll be back in 12 hours or so with an update on this

oh shit lol i got distracted and forgot about this thread. anyways i love this thing, i'm recording some sounds right now. absolutely a fan of turning the bottom knob all the way up, fuzz tone just a little after 9:00, bias and drive all the way up. i'm still figuring out how to properly move it with my foot to make my sweep smoother but for now here's me being a dumbass and trying out the fuzz before the wah (and after the wah but mostly before). i start with the drive all the way up and in the second half i turn the drive all the way down.

Sounds great, man; I'm not a huge fan of typical 'wah' guitar (NEU! get a pass), but I love the whole gnarly filtering thing they can do, esp with a fuzz. Gonna try one of the non Plus ones out sometime for sure, maybe I can nab a used bargain on eBay.

I love wah. When this was announced I thought it was the stupidest thing. A cocked wah effect, that has now been improved by having it controllable as an expression pedal. They should now do a preset cocked wah version of the expresson pedal wah pedal of a cocked wah pedal.

Having said all that, I loved the sound of this in demos. I still don't think I could justify getting rid of the Boss PW-10, but this looks great.

the original cock fight already had an expression input to control the wah anyways lol, which always was both stupid and cool imo. that being said, I'm super glad they released it as an all in one thing, no need to buy an expression pedal to take up more space. I always wanted a fuzz wah too, and this thing hit the mark so fucking hard.

I've seen people say they want just the fuzz circuit from it as a separate pedal, but I think it works great with the wah, I like having the tone turned down quite a bit, so the toe down position sounds decent when switching it on just as a wah. the bottom end coming off this thing is pretty good too, I wasn't able to get a good recording of it unfortunately

I'm surprised you can't disable the wah on the original version, but I guess you dial-in the wah, in combo with the fuzz tone control, to a point where it's less-in-yer-face, more kinda 'gnarly fuzz'? I LOVE the fact it has a bias control.

Also this thread made me rewatch the demos on the EHX site, which has been great because I love how 1.0 it looks. I've just spent about an hour on the effectology series, which is a rabbit hole I'm always happy to jump down two footed.

yeah, the wah and tone control combination can get you some really gnarly tones as just a fuzz pedal, its great. i like my noisemaker effects crush fuzz before the wah, its a dark enough fuzz that the toe down position on the clean wah adds the perfect amount of mids, and the bottom control helps keep that low end real fat, too.
