I've always liked the round pickup shape, not on all the Fender designs per se.
The Black Tele elite model puts it all together though, visually.

I've had a guitar with on/off push buttons like that and found it more of a pain than a regular 5-way. It was cool to be able to easily get neck / bridge or all three though.Fakir Mustache wrote:One of the few strats with decent switching options.

The bridge is similar to other USA Strats of that era. It's an interesting design, but a pain in the ass because you have to take the pickguard off to get access to the springs.
Love that black Tele though. Can't believe how expensive they are now.
