Probably an enormous waste of money for me but GAS got the better of me... probably should have spent the credits on a MEL9 instead.

Seems pretty good, way more useful for doing sorta one-man singer-songwriter stuff live, I've done the same (at home) with my Boss PS-5, dead fun.

I nearly bought a Mel9 but didn't like how inflexible the sounds were (soooo much vibrato), so got me a Roland midi pickup and GK20 off Facebook Marketplace last month. SO much fun; I still need to get a MIDI cable so I can control VST plugins on my compootah, but the built-in sounds in the GK20 are fun enough to keep me going for now.

Knock me down with a feather. Supposedly standard delivery from GAK through Amazon marketplace (Thurs - Sat) it's arrived at home already.

After the slating I got for my vocals on the Pixies comp? I don't think so.

I want to know if it can make me sound not shit at singing.

But I assume it'll just make me sound shit in harmony with myself.

There's an "ENHANCE" button so you can sound like enhanced harmony shit.

Second press of ENHANCE is supposed to pitch correct too, though I'm not quite sure how effective that is. I've played with it on headphones for 15 minutes but I need to take it to a rehearsal space where I can put it through a PA. It needs adequate instrument level to process

You can't be as bad as me.

My missus is a singing teacher and gave up.

They couldn't sing either, so we should be okay.

Yes, I'm also at that stage of needing specs and owning an acoustic guitar. It's written in the stars...

At our respective ages though, neither of us is going to walk five hundred miles let alone walk five hundred more.

I took it to rehearsal last night, though there was only really one song to use it on (we're breaking in the new keyboard player so we only did about 5 songs from the set) and it shows you have to be really accurate on the timing or you'll end up with a harmony based on the wrong chord. Not sure how effective the pitch correction is, it's more subtle than "Life After Love". I may have to record what's going on and listen back for a better evaluation.
