I fucked the nut up, somehow... :? but, it don't matter...I have a bunch extra...

I applied sand/sealer and 2 coats of clear on top of the headstock, and will apply the Bronco decal later on this evening. I'll even post pics.

Dude... this has just made my day! I'm at the library stressing like crazy over this group project and paper and all this other shit I gotta do by Tuesday, and that pic just instantly put me in a better mood! I'm glad to see it with a Decal again!

What happened with the nut? You filing it yourself?

the slot for the B string ended up too close to the high E string...I just simply cut on the wrong side of the line...no worries, though!

Awesome, a nut is a simple thing to fix, I wasn't really worried about it. As long as you don't accidentally saw the neck in half, I'm not worried!

no, dude...I want to put a bone nut in that neck.

Also, make double-damn sure you remind me to include those old tuner bushings with the neck...cause I *will* forget.

Haha alright, just make a post when you're finished and ready to send it off, and I'll post and remind you to include them, and I'll even flood your pm box with messages reminding you to send them!

It's amazing the stuff you can do with a guitar that looked like it had been dredged up from the bottom of a lake. Nice stuff!

Dude, I am drooling! I can't wait to get that neck back! It looks amazing! I really can't believe that it's the same neck that bought back in May that looked like it had spent it's entire life at the bottom of a lake!

I like how aug took that picture with light shining through the beer onto the neck. Really gives it that "vintage tint" look

But for a real vintage look it would have been a big ol' glass of wine. There's some kind of dark ghostly shape at the top of the pic. Do you think the guitar is haunted?

Man that looks great. Nice series, gents. It makes me want to paint mine. But shit, it's the only working guitar I have! I sort of liked the sodden dog yours used to be, but the work you've done is aces. I never really noticed that color before, but it does have a nice look.

I just saw some at Manlandchesterguitartex.co.com.uk.com. Did you know those cagey brits have access to nitro colors that even Reranch doesn't sell? Most are the same, and they lack a few, but that looks like a cool resource. I WISH I could get that X red. I would use it on my 70s Musicmaster.

Yea, a lot of people thought that it looked good originally because of the color and because the actual crappiness of the finish didn't show up in the pics. Seriously, Aug can tell you how crappy the neck looked when he got it... imagine that times 10 and that's what the body looked like! It was horrible! If any of you saw it in person before I stripped the finish, you would have tried to burn it! The green color that I chose for it looks amazing though! I love it! I can't wait to get this neck back so I can complete it! Dazbootman is certainly taking his sweet fucking time sending me that pickguard too which wouldn't be so bad if he actually returned any of the emails that I sent him.
