Fender MIJ Traditional Stratocaster XII

Just saw these on Fender's Twitter:

Fender wrote:With its jangly sound and classic contours, the Fender Made in Japan Stratocaster XII pays homage to the revered original 1965 Fender Electric XII. Featuring Stratocaster standard single-coil pickups, a rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style tuners and a 12-string hardtail bridge, the limited-edition Fender Stratocaster XII has Fender tone and style to spare.

This shit is cyclical man. I've been around long enough that I've seen these made 3 times by Fender Japan. It's like they do some house cleaning around the factory, somebody finds the pin router plates and says "Why not do another run of these"...

Yeah, I can remember them being available a few times in the past.

I think, I think you can buy a 12 string strat for like $200(shipping isn't included) on Aliexpress nowadays. Set it up yourself and en-freaking-joy

Did they? The one I played was sunburst with a regular brown headstock. But that's Eau Claire for you. BOREDOM CAPITOL OF THE NORTH.

Yeah it's cool but I prefer the Dano DC12 (Nick's old one), but that's because I prefer the flatter radius and neck. Keep meaning to sell the Strat, just can't be arsed.
