What's the verdict on these? I think the wife's family has taken the hints and is getting me one as a birthday present. Think GAK are doing them for £80.

They were terribly delayed, there was only one person here who bought one and he doesn't post regularly. Looks like an overall nice guitar except I don't like slim necks that are on all Epiphones and Gibsons nowadays. An alternative to it is Squier Bullet Mustang though it must be slightly more than 80 pounds

I've just got mine today, in turquoise. Pretty nice little guitar, perfect for a mod or two. Defo want to replace the tuners, maybe bang a hot rail in the bridge.Noirie. wrote:Which colour did you go for Rob?

It's actually a pretty good little guitar. I love the neck pickup sounds and the fact its already routed for humbuckers etc.
It was hanging on the wall of Rich Tone music and i was brought it as an early birthday present.

Balanced the pickups now and its really sounding quite nice. Defo leaning towards the neck pickup because it sounds so lush. I've been thinking a set of lipsticks would look pretty bitching on it.

That's what I'm thinking, wired in series for the middle position and some decent pots.

Tonepros bridge costs an arm and a left ball. I was checking them when I had a junior clone. Awhile ago Cur built a beautiful pank stang with teisco pups and an wraparound bridge. He bought a copy of the tonepros bridge on aliexpress for close to nothing iirc

that sounds more like a fix for the opposite problem. If the bridge is too high and the neck is bolt on, just shim it to change the neck angleDoog wrote:Sand back the neck pocket and/or neck heel a bit?Thomas wrote:If you have the same issue as most people where the bridge is still too high for a good setup even when bottomed out the Tonepros replacement has a lower profile and makes it way easier to gert a good setup.
