I've wanted one of those style Toronados and a Cyclone II for ages but they never seem to come up at the right price in the right colour when I have the cash/inclination. I could probably get both Squier versions for the price of one of the old MIM ones.
Was thinking about picking up one of those mini Jazzmasters for my daughters.

TBH no. All these shapes and colors are crazy appealing but 2019/2020 was a pretty big splurge year for me with guitars so I’d want to sell 2 before adding another. Most of what I have now is either rare and htf or a step up from the Squier CV line - I could see myself selling my Danelectro DC3 and Daisy Rock but I’d probably be more likely to replace it with a Gibson of some sort.
A pink Cyclone would be fuckin' awesome, but, ya know, they cost money.

Also no matter how cool a Squier looks to me nowadays when I see that it costs like $450-$500 I'm like "lol no" because I'd probably want to replace the neck.

Squier necks have been a cut about Fender for years now.paul_ wrote: Also no matter how cool a Squier looks to me nowadays when I see that it costs like $450-$500 I'm like "lol no" because I'd probably want to replace the neck.
Assuming you like necks with finish on them, and the occasional maple fretboard. I'm not talking about the bullets and the other bottom tier stuff, I mean the classic whatever modified whatevers "Old fashioined looking" guitars they make.
