I'm not comfortable with my guitar being too expensive to bash it around a little bit, at the same time I don't care for expensive guitars at all. My squier is one of the best guitars I've played which is great. I've tried several guitars from the same series and mine is just better, at least at what that I want from a guitar
Comes with Detroit but most people don't find that very handy in modern times so they never use it.
The American Original reissue of Michigan just has an arbitrarily-placed 3-way toggle where Detroit used to be.

3-way toggle with comes where Kalamazoo used to be. Now as industry does nothing, it doesn't do anything either and kept there just for the old times' sake

Yep. We can't really moan about old, good guitars being much more expensive than they have been without addressing the more important fact that new, good guitars are much cheaper than they have been.
