It's worth getting a sheet of the stuff for the pickguard, easy to do, and if that tape is non conductive you'll need to put a blob of solder between each strip which is a recipe for melty pickguards! Even though the sheets I had are fully conductive I still heeded wise nerds advice and soldered any joins where I'd had to use a new bit in the actual routing. The guard is all one solid bit so no need.JohnnyTheBoy wrote:Top notch Dave.....very inspiring stuff..Hope the wiring on my projects will look as good as that when i finish em!
Ive got 3M Self-adhesive metal tape for my shielding, but dont think itll look as pukka as yours....
I think the strips will actually be a lot easier for the actual routing, just take your time and I'm sure you'll get it all neat and tidy!
Thanks for the kind words y'all!

can do body whit conductive paint and use a foil of cooper for the pickguard
thus cooper seems more vintage look / Old school.
Precise dwarf bravery
So after my strat project hit a showstopper I turned to the next nearest done. My fucking loony tunes wiring jag stang. It was stripped nearly a decade ago and then sat in storage. Time to add much needed contours and shed some weight

Faarrk I hadn't even thought about it. I hope not! I don't think he does it anymore. its worrying enough hoping to get sufficient coverage with one can. He does do an orange but I think its like a bright orange. as it is I lost the primer and lacquer I had so will need to buy that again.Bacchus wrote:Does that keep or go off or anything?Dave wrote:I've had a tin of Manchester guitar Tech nitro Competition Orange waiting to be used for a decade! so Orange.Thom wrote:Good work.
