A couple of weeks ago I ordered a Klon clone from eBay on a whim (one of those £35 Hong Kong jobs - I'm still waiting for it), and whilst doing so I figured I'd just do a search. Unexpectedly I found an original Klon up for sale so I watched it, curious to see how much it would fetch. The auction finished this evening and it went for £1808... One thousand eight hundred and eight British Pounds... FUCK THAT SHIT! I get all the hype and the backstory and everything, but having watched plenty of Klon comparison videos, I stick by my "fuck that" assessment! LANK
It's definitely a great design and I enjoy building them for people as they can be used in very different ways.
It was a bit silly when the designer claimed the diodes were unobtanium magic ones rather than the 1n34As we've all been able to get hold of for years but whatever.
Obviously anyone paying for an original needs their head checked when there are myriad options for that sound easily available these days from many places.
Thanks! Klones are still a good seller for me, although not as popular as they once were. Had loads of requests for Klone buffers recently though, so they're coming back.
One of these was just recommended to me and I was going to post it as a joke because it was a Wish ad on Facebook but I realize Thom actually bought one almost identical to the one being advertised.

Yeah it looks identical! I think the picture has changed on the eBay add now, but I'm sure it was the same as on Wish before! LANK. I offered £35 which was accepted.
