OK, got these 2 guitars this week or two. 1 was a very unexepcted purchase. The other was kind of a gift from Eastman as I ordered a guitar to donate to a charity auction, I ended up with 2.
Fender Tele Acoustasonic. I was very skeptical but it is pretty damned cool. Especially for cover band guys like me.

Eastman PCH1GACE CLA. Solid top, laminate back/sides. LR Baggs pickups system.

Going to have to sell the Eastman El Rey more than likely if any parties are interested but these are some cool new toys.

LOL. I am not sure what happened. Pic didn't look that fuzzy on my phone.dots wrote:the tele is a very unique color, and i bet it sounds amazing live and jacked in.
btw, are you using one of those fisher price cameras? jk jk jk
Ill retake and put some fresh ones up...
And for a gigging musician (especially cover wise) it is pretty amazing.

We think we are going to be doing A LOT more acoustic shows in the next year or two given changes in the market so the thought is my bass player has and plays a fretless uke bass and my guitar player and I can use these and mix in a little electric tones here and there on the fly.

Yeah, before COVID I averaged about 180 gigs per year. Always acoustic (maybe half a dozen gigs per year I would play electric as well.. Usually just if my wrists were bothering me and I need a bit a of a break here and there. )Thom wrote:If I did lots of acoustic gigs I’d totally be looking at one of the acoustasonics, they look like a great tool for that sort of scenario.
I expect that gigs will be fewer (things are just opening up here) but I also expect us to move into some more corporate/private work. Right now we mostly do bars/wineries (though the higher end of those locally/regionally)

I have a green telecoustic and I will be getting either the blue or white jazzacoustic next week. But to be clear, they are not both for me. They are for my band to use on travel gigs and acoustic trio gigs that we do. Long story short I received a small business grant form our county and a 2nd one from the state and they are the type I can use to purchase operating equipment. So I upgraded PA equipment and bought one of these guitars (the other I bought myself off FB for a pretty stupid deal.robroe wrote:Wait. You got a green telecoustic AND a blue jazzocoustic?
