“Hey guys, let’s design a tailpiece that sits even HIGHER, that’s what people are crying out for, right?
You’d need a fuckin War & Peace-sized shim to right this shit

The Goldo stuff, as far as I can tell, is meant to be able to be less obtrusive to be retrofitted to guitars, or require less routing for new guitars. So most of their tailpieces require a single 1 or 2-pence piece sized hole to be drilled for the spring mechanism to fit into. This seems to be the case regardless of the other practicalities of the trem pieces. So that Jag "replacement" model could potentially fit on any other guitar as long as you just drill a single hole, straight down, rather than the full Jaguar trem route.
I don't know why you'd do that.
They look cool as fuck, they cost about as much as a proper bigsby, and they potentially don't work that great.
They make very nice looking bigsby style trems as well as the Dusenberg hardware, but yeah, their weird Jaguar/Mustang type trems are just bizarre.

They do make these, though:

Which is a simple but great idea.
