I guess you can be paying 3k for a Gibson from 2020, no doubt in my mind now that if I ever get the urge to splurge 3000+ bucks on a guitar and that guitar is an SG then Jaydee takes it, far and away. I can't ever see myself doing that but nice to know it's there.
What a beaut, other models also cool but not my thing.

I’d describe my Burny MG-145s (mockingbird style) as very SG derived, complete with thin/beveled body and neck dive. Just doesn’t look the part visually.
I’ve had the Gretsch CVT before but that was like the opposite. Played and sounded much more like a Gretsch than a Gibson. Was a nicely balanced instrument tbh.
A good SG has been on my want list for a while but haven’t found the right one.

same colleague who gave me the pedals a couple months ago is gifting me his custom SG he got in the early 90s now. haven't seen it yet, but it was apparently heavily modified and gunmetal gray w/ duncan humbuckers. should be interesting...
