So many big brands go for the "thin end of the boutique aesthetic wedge" these days

I have been resisting the current LPB Competition Mustangs on Chicago Music Exchange. I don't think I can say no to that.DanHeron wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 12:36 pm Just noticed these new FSR Classic Vibe Comp Orange Mustangs. Tasty.

At least they got the pickguard right (not the pickup covers).
I noticed that both Andertons and Chicago Music Exchange both have the LPB models so hopefully that means they get this one too.
If it only had the Matching Headstock.....

white belt and white dress shoes of shortscales.
Re: Jonzing for Squier '22 line
I swear Fender have a remit to make Squier NEARLY perfect, but they gotta meet the 'FENDER BETTER THAN SQUIER' company line, so they fuck up an aesthetic detail or two to uphold the class system

Maybe they just assume you will change out the pickups anyway.
I wonder if they have to do it to differentiate it from the Japanese Fenders so there is no confusion between them.
I would love to collect all these.

Nah the stripe is all wrong and the color is off. So close, how is it this hard to mess up?

Re: Jonzing for Squier '22 line
this is closer to the one i built from warmoth last year, except i went with a pearl guard. either the finish in the squier description is NOT capri orange or they got the wrong color code in the digital image.

I feel like all Fender's recent photography is very suspect anyways; when I was scoping out some fancy colour offsets, IRL photos always looked waaaaay more washed-out than Fender's own images.
I think someone at FHQ is riding that saturation slider like an epidural button

I've been suspicious of all manufacturers' photos ever since the change to George & Leo instead of George & Leo & Trotsky.

Re: Jonzing for Squier '22 line
Not so sure. Squier made a “Competition Orange” affinity Tele a few years back, that looks to be the same color more than likely
