New jaguar tele custom mash up THE BELLYMASTER

So I was gifted a mahogany jaguar body and neck a while ago. It's a bit ropey in places so needs some work. I also don't need a 3rd Jaguar setup like a stock jaguar. So thought I would do something a bit different.
Have the wide ranger from Mike.



No idea what bridge pickup to go for that will match wide ranger. Also not sure on pickguard style. Will probably repaint it at some stage but will get it all together first.

Yeah I am liking it. Just ordered some jaguar plates for it. Was originally gonna try and do something more tele custom for the pickguard but think this will do. On the look out for a 3 way toggle plates now.

Put the other wideranger in the space where the main switchplate normally goes, and just run the switching from the top plate. Clack the outboard humbucker with your carkeys and that, like Sonic Youth do.

Fucking hell this has been on the back burner too long!
I have everything bought now, got stuff pretty much lined up. Need to cut the guard for the Tele plate, then start cutting the body up.

Body routed(chiseled) for the pickups. Everything looks ok I think.


Wondering if there are wide ranger pickup rings cheaply available to cover the old jaguar pickup holes left... although I do like it slightly janky.

Or maybe just get a custom Jag pickguard properly made.
