At that point it’s like the mini strat. The blue lp is pretty.
Who are guitars like these really for? I wouldn’t recommend a kid just learning to play to start on 12’s but that probably the minimum that will intonate well on this scale without tuning up to G or A.
Yeah, something that sounds good on paper, but not that good when you take the string tension into consideration. That wrap tail won't help with intonating it as well. I think a maple tele neck would've looked killer on that Blue Paul

Gotta love the marketing:
Sounds Better, Stays in Tune Longer
Than what?
Just advertising cliches I suppose

22.73 is such an odd length, I wonder if that’s the sweet spot over 22.50” for not feeling as much like a toy.
Yeah, a very weird scale. At first I thought it was a regular 24.75" minus first fret scale, looked it up and it should be 23.4", like Gibson Byrdland.

I’d rock that single cut Jr, the Epiphones not so much. The pickups look out of proportion, like a comedy fake nose.

There’s no reason for that double cut to have the neck like that except it’s probably a bolt on.
Shame.
I’d do a 24” scale double cut jr and just keep the body regular size.
My guess is when they transitioned to the double cut body for the full size Junior model they still had a significant stock of those short scale necks for the single cut 3/4 Junior model. And they just decided to slap them on the double cut Junior body making that scary looking guitar.
They had the blue LP at Guitar Center today, it actually looked and played pretty nice but I didn’t plug it in. I’m not the market for this but I was pleasantly surprised.

Nice that they are using an intonated tailpiece. Looks like a copy of the Faber on my Eastman.

Guitar Center rocking the spray painted white pegboard that all the shitty mom and pop stores used to use back in the 90s that they put out of business.
