That one of the tuners on the Sonic Kitten is a little different from the others. The neck is a 64 Mustang and judging by how consistent the aging is I pretty sure this is how it came from Fullerton.

The was a fight between pro-CBS and anti-CBS employees that day and they were chucking tuners at each other

It’s a pretty across the board thing with old Fenders, which is why you can’t really trust serial numbers from that era.
