so I played a gig in december, and had the amp really loud, not full blast, but I had the wattage (what I use for volume) at about 80% round. then I played a solo gig and put my acoustic through it and couldnt hold a note or a chord for about 1.5 seconds with out it fizzling out. I got home and it was and still is doing the same thing, on both electric and acoustic, no matter what settings I use.
any ideas?
its a vox ad-50 by the way.

It doesn't have a power tube, but a 12ax7 used in the poweramp section. It could be that or something more sinister.
It's still in warranty right? Send that fucker back in. Mine never made those noises.

wurd. try replacing that little 12ax7 first since it will be way easy and cheap. pray that's it.

my ad30 did the same thing
i'll bet you've accidentally set the noise reduction gate filter thingy too high and it's cutting it out. change it back to a low value and your amp will be back to normal.
everything is not going to be alright

I think we have a winner. I never knew how to change that setting so I reckon you did it by accident.
