He has like 14,000 posts on the HarmonyCentral forums.

It's actually quite scary.

I don't - I just think people like you spend too much time posting on effects pedal message boards and "GASsing" for the next pedal to actual play freaking music and get on with it.
not that I feel the need to defend myself, but the majority of my posting is during my 8-5 job....i get a fair amount of play time in a day...anywhere from 1-3 hours..and I have band practice twice a week.

I should rip that off - I will when I can be arsed.

People used to borrow my amp quite a bit and you'd be surprised how many people don't get that 1 = Clean and 2 = Crunch etc

That pic is sexy. How come you're using the 6100 again? Combo not cutting it?

And yeah, scrap that masking take, it's definately detracting from the class factor. Get a Dymo label maker on it's ass!

lol.. Property of Bart Simpson

I just really missed the 6100 - I love that amp, and when it broke and I got it fixed I was like "well I'm fucked if it's just going to sit on my 4x12" and only get played occasionally at home, and then not loud" so I took it to practise last week and used the DSL401 as a 1x12" cabinet (the speaker cable can just about stretch back to plug into the head if the head is sat on top). It sounded lurvely (but obviously teh footswitch was fucked).

I'm thinking I'm going to go back to using the 6100 regularly and that's why I'm thinking of getting a 2x12" cabinet. if I do then the DSL401 will have to go for monetary reasons - it's a great amp especially since I upgraded the speaker and threw that 12DW7 in there but it was also bought for so I'd not just have the one amp in case of a breakdown. Now I have the PowerBlock so in the case I have valve issues I can use that and the 2x12"/4x12".

So I think if Gear4music get back to me with a reasonable quote it'll be Cab inbound and combo outbound I'm afraid. It's nothing against the DSL401, I just love the 6100's three channels. The crunch is just amazing.

If you put a stomp switch on that, it'll by far more useful as you'll be able to switch between two volumes

Definitely.

I had that idea the other way for people that use the volume control on their guitars to clean up a dirty amp - a little footswitchable pot would be the business.

What are the George Ls like to put together?

I'm not sure if I trust the system. I like seeing solder joints and heatshrink, and knowing I have a good connection between the cable and the jack.
