Your luthier has a weird order of operations. I don't really know much about making an entire guitar cause I have yet to do one, although I do plan on doing one sometime. I still don't understand why he makes the headstock overlay and fretboard first. It seems like those things would come last.

The split lightning inlays are awesome, I want a Flying V with some inlays like that.

It isn't weird to glue the Veneer and Fretboard on the neck blank first, i've seen plenty of others build that way.

Icey's enthusiasm for the electric guitar is inspiring to me.

Is it? I didn't really know, but I just thought that it seemed like a weird order of doing things.

You'll put it back down when you realise how gay you look.

If you do that stuff first, and then attach them to the blank, everythng will line up and fit nicer. Technically, you'll be working with one piece when you shape it.

That is a really awesome idea, to use matched pieces of wood for the back covers. Pure class, right there. The guitar is looking nice, icey.

Hamer does that on their korina wood guitars and it does look awesome.
