How shall I wire my 2x12?
I've just bought an empty 2x12 cab. I need it to total 8Ohms impedence.
Is there any difference in sound between series and parallel wiring for the speakers?
Anyone know any good FAQs about this sort of thing?

I found a couple a while back.
Anyway you should get two 16 ohm speakers and wire them in parallel. You could add another jack and wiring to have them as 16 ohm each if you want to use both as stereo but that's another story.
Get two 16 ohm speakers and connect both pos terminals to the tip and both neg terminals to the sleeve.

This shows you the Mono/Stereo stuff which is a little more complicated but useful - my 1936 Marshall cabinet is wired this way:

I think I'll whack a couple of Celestion G12Ts in there and see how it sounds. My cab is open, so once they're in I might mess about with making it closed-back for a bit of bassiness.

I got it on ebay from these guys:

Looks very nice quality. I just want something that'll fill-out the sound my Musicman 112 makes. This might do the job even with a open-back.
