I want one of these!
Tons of noise making fun!
you know..moogs..they're awesome, you can get a lot of over the top sound fx with those moogerfoogers, esp. the murfffff.. but seriously.. they're too pricey for me to drag them around from club to bar to whateva
i would worry too much about them being stolen or damaged ...
i don't know how much that new one costs... more than 400 ?
then again, the fulltone bass drive or sansamp bass driver (same price range as the regular moogerfoogers..300-ish) are on my want list and will turn into reality for sure.. but that's more out of necessity because bass gets lost in the mix with only a BM
but those moogs... i love 'em..and they look so cool too
a friend of mine has a pretty old moog synth, his dad got it back in the early eighties i think..not sure.. but that thing rawks.

Sounds like just an UglyFace + TriNeg + a few other noise circuits I've breadboarded, with extra controls on the LFO. Sounds cool but I don't see how it justified $300 or whatever stupid amount these things sell for.

I would prefer the UglyFace myself. PolePosition noises FTW. I need to find a cheap browken wah pedal to make one.
Have you done any work with those so-called "negisistors"? Like now the 2n2222 is set up in my Pungent Bzzz or the GarageFuzz. I have the schem here somewhere for the TriNeg, it is a stand-alone oscillator like this thing in the vid.

Yeap.euan wrote:No but I remember reading a negistor article many moons ago and I can't remember much about it all. Did someone actually turn it all into an effect?
I've got a gutted Bespeco plastic pedal that might find itself UglyFaced.
Try it out on breadboard. Locating suitable 2n2222's can be a problem, the only ones I've found that works is the metal-can type 2n2222a's from futurlec. I think Smallbear's work fine in this operating mode also.

I think I swapped in various resistors for the two switches, though, for varying up the noise. Could probably just make them pots. Looking at that again, you could add some extras like blending in a guitar signal, or a fuzz, and maybe another LFO or general oscillator. I love effects.
