Sounds real pretty. I only had it up to like 2.5 becasue I was so nervous. ONe of the tubes fell out when i pulled the bundled cord out of the back,

so i was on eggshells.

Mostly it sounds like it wants to be cranked and used as an overdrive machine. I never htougth i would even see one of these, let alone handle it, and play through it. the pot is pretty scratchy but it's 50 fucking years old.

We're supposed to pay 40% of what we would sell it for. I was prepared to go to $400, but he was selling a strat that we would have paid $300 for, he asked for $700 and i said OK.

Yeah, it's a screw, but he didn't want them anymore. Same guy that sold us a custom shop strat. BUt i think the owner paid him $1200 for it, casue he wants it for himself.

It gets thoroughly entered into a database tonight that the police check whenever something gets reported stolen. It's held for 30 days before it's put out for sale. Pretty much the stupidest thing you can do with stolen gear is sell it to a pawn shop in the twin cities or Eau Claire. Doesn't happen very often now that theives know about this.

Plus my gut said it was his. It doesnt take long to spot stolen shit. Usually you know before they hit the counter.
He knew his shit in and out, i think if an old guy was going to steal 50 year old amps that he knew all about he'd be playing them in his basement?

Meh. thats what everybody htinks of when they think of a pawn shop.

Thats becasue pawn shops are run by soulless scumbag ultra right wing war mongering racists, who only care about money, and screwwing the shit out of people who are desperate.
