those resonator guitars were invented by a guy called John Dopyera, and he founded the National company, but after fighting with the rest of the management he split off and went into the resonator guitar business with his brother under the name 'Dobro' (short for Dopyera Brothers). some of you could have died happy without hearing that random bit of triv but it's late and i'm bored and i read it in a book.
