The louder you go the heavier and more brutal it sounds.

I might get some pics up soon, but there no way in hell i'm gonna post sound clips right now. I'm telling you, these cabinets SUCK ASS.

Also, I wanna get it checked out by a tech, just to make sure everything's running right.

Fair enough.

My 6100 has like 11 tubes too, 7 preamps and 4 power.

SHIT.

There's like one dude in a 50mile radius that works on tube amps around here. I called him and he's backed up and it'll be a few weeks until he can get around to doing any new work. SUMBISTCH.

SHIT.

I just broke the impedance switch on the back.

I have no clue how the hell this thing goes back together and there's no way i'm turning it on and fiddling with it. i will kill it. BASTARD.

^that's the actual switch assembly thing.

The plastic part to the right is what you see on the outside, it's got a slot where you can turn it with a screwdriver. some of it broke off - the other black piece.

Then there's a spring and a washer and apparently the pole thing is what makes the actual connection.

The problem is that there are 6 different places the pole can connect.

basically, if i can get that pole in there, it'll work, but i won't have a clue as to what impedance it is, and that are problematic.

lmao. GHETTO.

OK you need that fixed. It switches between taps on the output transformer, and if you're mismatchig load with the output tap you'll be putting wear on your tubes ($80) or the output transformer ($250). You don't want to have to replace that shit.

i know!
that's why i didn't want to mess with it in the first place.

the "local" amp tech is booked up for liek a few weeks, so i've gotta give him a ringaling later.

i was gonna get him to give it a look. this thing still has the stock tubes in it i believe. crazy stuff.

I wouldn't connect it to anything and run it until that's been fixed. Sorry, you poor bastard, must suck hard.
