I keep meaning to but since the new baby, and a search for a new guitar player....Not enough jamming time.... Been getting alot of time at home with my Martin, but not much in the studio....
I do think I am gonna change the speakers in the avatar cabinet to either v30s or some scumbag speakers... See if it gives it a little more tone...
They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...
I misread your post.....The clips all sound good, the clean sounds are definitely similiar to the orange...Particularly the clean with a little breakup... Although I love the heavier overdrive on the thing, I usually use pedals for that so I don't have to mess around too much on stage adjusting every song..... Last show I went all out and went a/b with my super reverb as my clean and the orange as my heavy drive, and just used a sparkledrive for a little crunch.... That was a cool set...

Gracias Mike. Again like the DI out it all sounds stupidly good.
Have you tried it with the Jazzy? I'd be interested to know how it handles singlecoils. And was it easy to dial in your sounds? I'm starting to appreciate the whole 4 channel seperate EQ thing since I've spent 3 hours tonight trying to get a balance between my favoured clean, overdrive, distortion and fuzz sounds.
Yeah I played it with my Jazzmaster for like 2 hours last night, it sounds greatwith singles and humbuckers, no major adjustment needed. Doesn't take long to dial the sounds at all - everything sounds pretty great even with dials all at 12 o clock.
I listened. That seems like one hell of an amp, it's so versatile, you got so many sounds out of it. Hearing how dynamic actual valve distortion is makes me really want to get my hands on a valve amp of my own, it's a shame money's not on my side.
Indeed it is - and that's only two of the channels bear in mind. Everytime I play it I like some of the modes more and more - listening back to the clips I think I;m going to use Crunch Amber/Orange as my crunch preset (2) and then have both the Crunch Red and OD1 Green as my heavy sounds.
OD1 Green and Crunch Red have the same gain structure so if you like that tone you can set two different Equalizations and volumes of it. This amp is incredibly responsive as I hoped you could hear from the samples - the way valves respond to pick attack and decay into loveliness is like my favourite thing.
I'm glad I dropped this stuff around a little, people are being real nice - despite my references all being to threads here and you guys
Sounds really nice...I'm finding that red mode on the clean channel gives me the best light overdriven Zep type sound. Better than the crunch in my opinion.

That sounds really Killer! I can't wait for mine to come in now.. I Loved the Clean Green Mode, and the Crunch Green Mode (You're so Naive, You're so.... )
You've really got me Gassin' for that Fender too.. How do you like it?
Also, what Chords are you playin' in Naive?
Thanks. And it sounds Killer!

Mike, thanks for posting the clips mang, really cool!
I think the clean sounded nice and warm, with a good "pop" to it.
I'm very impressed with the versatility of tones, and the quality of the switching.
Can it get as full and aggressive as a JCM 800?

ha cheers for the nice clips, im loving the commentry.

Great clips, I look forward to the heavy stuff! Cool

Nice demo you put together there, that's a pretty sweet sounding amp. I'm anxious to hear the crunch channels. Sounds very versatile.

AWESOME!! I really enjoyed listening to that.
That JVM sounds sweet!!! Rockin

Crunch channels sound great too. Thanks for posting the samples. If Marshall were to ever do an infomercial for the JVM, they'd have to hire you to do it Mr. Green

Ever thought of doing that professionally or doing Radio? lol.
You sound like a Rock Radio DJ lol.

Enjoyed both the playing and narration. Thanks for sharing! Thumbs Up
