I'm just not a hugh crunch, balls to the wall overdrive kinda guy, that's why i don't really like marshalls, .... i don't know it might just be that i just don't like their overdrive at all, because i fucking love a cranked Orange...

the one i played was one of those double cut, ultra flamed double humbuckers countersunk knob jobbies. I don't really remember the osund except it made me ache for my telecaster.

For some reason I've gone off guitars made with fancy woods. Gibsons and PRSs seem so obvious and stupid to me. I like the way Fender manage to make better/more useful guitars out of cheaper woods, but my designing them better.

Have you ever even played a real Marshall or Solando?

Icey hasn't even played a proper guitar, so you know the answer to that.

As for PRS, they make one brilliant guitar among the complete shit:

It also happens to be one of the cheapest. How ironic.

If you got the time and gear.....Biamp kicks ass. The last show we did as a band, I used my Taylor t-5 and split the acoustic send to the PA and the electric send to my guitar rig....Then sent the guitar rig to an tuner and an A/B box.....Side one went to my board with a sparkle drive, modded blues driver, and a small clone to my Super reverb for clean and overdrive/light overdrive. Line 2 went to my Tiny Terror for heavier stuff..... I kept the acoustic stuff going the whole time cause when it got more overdriven it just buried underneath the amps anyway....... It was cool.. Maybe a little over the top, but it was our guitarists last show so we were going all out....

Fun stuff though...
They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...

Dont get me wrong, i prefer the basic designs when it comes to guitar construction and finishing but i cannot deny PRS make very good guitars.

I suppose. It's a matter of removing taste from the judgement.

why would you want to remove taste from a preference based judgment?
I judge SGs and Les Pauls to be the best guitars for playing because they fit my hands the best, and because I like how they sound. It's all completely subjective.

If you don't like PRS and Gibsons, and think that assembly line Fenders are the best there are, then say it loud and proud!

But I can't deny that Gibsons and PRSs are good guitars. I just don't like them, and that's a matter of taste. I don't really think that Fenders are better guitars, it's just that they sit much more easily with my tastes.

hmpf, you'll never have what it takes to be a tr00 music snob!

you're supposed to say "Gibsons & PRSs are fine guitars.... I suppose. But Fenders, now there's a versatile instrument without all the expense and hype of "megakoa ducktailneck with binding" and such rubbish".

See. THAT's how you have to act to be a real snob about things.

That's a very snobbish brand of snobbery. How dare you try to exclude me from the fun of gear snobbery. SNOB!!!

There's like, concentric circles of snobbery going on here.
