The Orange site says the cab is 16 ohms and comes with Vintage 30s. He has a Orange cab with Vintage 30s. Vintage 30s only come in 8 and 16 ohms. To end up with a 16 ohm load using two of those, it needs to be two 8 ohm speakers in series. Right?

Just putting two and two together, chief. By the sounds of it, it's just one connection that has come away, so it should be pretty self evident where it goes. I'm not gonna claim to know anywhere near as much about this stuff as you dude, but just seems obvious to me.

I didn't see this part, I thought he had picked up a cab loaded but unwired. Confusion reigns.

The wiring should be:

Jack tip -> speaker one +
speaker one - -> speaker two +
speaker two - -> Jack Sleeve
