It'll be fine. Stock combo speakers are generally 16 ohms. The guy in the first samples in this thread was using Hurb's amp as a speaker cab.
I wuz just checking like, I know Hurb had put a random 600w replacement in his Fender. Didn't want his lil heart to be broken. Or his lil amp transformer :D

Lol, dunno. Maybe it was 300w. Something pretty beefy anyway, I guess he got a good deal on it.

Ok, does anyone have a reason why I shouldnt buy one of these? I'm going to try and play one this week, but it's looking like the right sort of amp for me. Assuming I cant get a 50w jcm800 soon. This will save me at least £100 anyway.

There is no reason not to buy one.

Do it.

You guys all suck dick. I was meant to be the first Brit here to get one. Now I'm going to look like I'm joining the "TT" club which apparently is the next lamest thing up from the Telecaster club of yore.

I'm still tempted to wait it out on a <£400 JCM800. The more I hear of this amp though, the more I like it.

I need to buy a 2x12 first really. Bastard gear, I want an archtop too. I need to sell things.

I'm going to get my TT as soon as I get £300 in the bank, so it'll most likely arrive before I can afford to get my cheap 2x12, which means I can post pretty pictures of it for a week or so before being able to play it. Boo!

Actually, does it have headphone output? That'd fucking rock.

To be honest if I was gigging regularly I would be selling my Mustang, half of my effects and the Laney to get one. Can't be the versatility of the JVM

No headphone out, but if you have a combo you could use the speaker in that? As soon as the Jazzmaster sells I'm buying one too.

Something like a JVM is far too much for me. Sometimes I can be proper anal and spend hours tweaking knobs, but for some reason Ive never wanted to be able to do that with a guitar amp. I can see why it is a great buy for some people though.

A lot of people are freaked by it's complexity and say they wouldn't need that many sounds, but i used to make them with drive pedals and the Clean adn Crunch channels on the 6100 - now the amp does it all.

I'm not so much freaked out by it, as I know I would end up just using one channel on it anyway.
