Fender Book on Shortscales?
Are there any reference books that focus on or at least make a decent effort to touch on the shortscale side of Fender?

I have been looking, but I got nothin. Just the Strat Chronicles. You need a whole cult following in order to attract enough attention. But you'd think there would be a book of minor or oddball models. Any writers in the group?
This might cover some of it. Maybe we can find it as an e-book.

I've got this one. It has about 3 pages about Fender shortscales out of total of 608 pages. Lots of great pics though.

nope i've read that, our library has it, it's ok, the coolest part is that the custom color chart is all vintage jazzmasters, almost stock like photos too.DGNR8 wrote: This might cover some of it. Maybe we can find it as an e-book.

But no sooner had I noticed the attractive yet confused looking girl (why are there letters above my head?!) than it turned into this misshapen mess.

there is a really popular book, its like "the electric guitar" or something and it features alot of the fender shortscales and shows pics of the kurdtz, thurston moore, and stuff like that.
cept i remember they ROYALLY fuct up and said the electric 12 was a mustang and the mustang was listed as a duo sonic, and its funny cuz in all the pics you can clearly read the headstocks.
and there was some mis-information in there as well.

The only book that comes close is printed in japanese. It's mostly Mustangs but has a section on broncos, swingers, musicmasters, cyclones, etc. There is also another book available on jags/ jazzys.
I bought a copy of each for the pics (there's lots) but haven't started learning to read Japanese....yet.
