Nice - a nod to the original form. This baby needs a name - Trio Stangic ?

I did that so, in theory, you could modify and add a Mustang trem plate under the bridge and tailpiece. Or, at least kinda.

Oh I seeee. The holes would line up but not be tight. I don't think you would even see it under the stop. Could also be a good opportunity for a BIGSBY!

Ya know, a trem plate would look pretty dope. If that were to happen, could/should it be countersunk, to keep the action low, or is there room for play there?

I think it would be fine. On the bridge's lowest position, it's almost at the exact same height as a regular Mustang bridge (when set for low action). However, with the addition of a trem plate, you may or may not have to shim the neck, but your tech will know how to handle that.

I confided in Aug, that I've been waiting not 2, but 3 years for another custom build. Seeing what Aug has accomplished in just a couple afternoons, it boggles my mind!

UPDATE.

As with every guitar build, there are issues and anomolies [sp?], so, to make up for them, I installed custom shielding. (don't worry, everything looks great and it will play wonderfully.) ((aug))
