Cheers for the comments guys, the AC30 is a CC with the wharfedale speakers... Personally i cant fault the amp, its been reliable and it sounds superb!
The jekyl n hyde is great!
I use the AC30 top boost and clean channels blended together for my clean tone then use the overdrive side of the jekyl n hyde 90% of the time (for slight natural breakup) as my main sound. I have the bass boost switch off as it tends to muddy the sound a little.
The distortion side makes an appearance at some point in most songs and i love it! I have the sharp/blunt switch set to sharp as it keeps the tone birght.
Im totally happy with this set up and have been gigging it for about 6 months no probs. Before this amp i had a fender hot rod deluxe... i could never go back to that now. I love the glassy cleans of the vox.

It was rumoured to be based on the Shredmaster but according to Visual Sound it isn't, just a lot of distortions have a very similar circuit (DS-1, Rat, Shredmaster).Doog wrote:Nah, the Hyde distortion side is based on one of the old Marshall distortions I think, Drivemaster or summat.euan wrote:I thought the Jeckle and Hyde were two Tubescreamers?
digitech RP5
dot-on-shaft analog delay unit
DOD wah-volume
guyatone OD-2 distortion

sweet deal. looks like a solid little ampeg tank ..erm.. amp
my pedalboard arrived today, i just got a DAP flightcase for a showmaster/scenesetter 24.. it weighs a ton with all the pedals in it.. but altleast it will offer a little bit more protection than the ehx softcase.
i put an extra bottom plate in it, slightly angled too and i power it with a one spot adapter.
chorus and phaser still need to be 'traded in' for something.. nicer.
big muff turned into a guitar-only box, just like the tuna melt.. i get enough dirt from the blue box and sansamp.
frances is ready for some rock action tomarraw:
and to end a nice day with a nice evening :
