Just by looking at it I suspected so, but this site confirmed it :

Which therefore means that he is incorrect about the Fuzzrite being the most over the top fuzz pedal. It is the second. the Nu-Fuzz is the craziest.

Seriously though if the circuit is similar it'd be a pretty awe inspiring Fuzz
pedal.
The Nu-Fuzz is more distortion, less "a band aid box of bees" sound. Crank the tone way down from the nasally end and it's a monster. But I suspect it's a refinement of the Fuzzrite which is a lot more compressed classic fuzz sound. Which is a cool thing to have in the sonic arsenal, but sometimes sort of limited in use.
What is cool is that Ashbass does make a good clone of the pedal, so you could save probably more than a few bucks for the same sound.
