I know the pickup configuration is strange. I just wanted something different. I typically never use a center pickup on a guitar, but I figured I'd give it a try. The pickups are:Malik wrote:That thing looks awesome, but I hate the pickup combination. It's a custom job, so I should hardly be hating, if that's what he wants then it's his choice!
SD Twang Banger in the Bridge
cheep Jap Jazzy pu in the center
SD Alnico 2 pro, flat pole in the neck.
Later, I may replace the bridge pu with a better quality one.
The 3 way switch is going to be wired simple. On, On and On. That's the best way to do it for this one for my playing style.

I agree. That's why I did it. I like my aesthetics ruined. (I'm being Serious on that one). After all, I'm not a pretty boy.Malik wrote:Yeah, I just thing the big fat Jazzy pickup in the middle ruins it aesthetically, it'd look so nice and clean with just two singles, but you're going to get some neat sounds out of that I'm sure, so might as well go all the way.
We don't know yet...fucking holidays!superfuzz wrote:looks great dude! how does it play?
dave keeps forgetting the neck pocket screws, and I'm worried the ones we used won't hold up to a full tune. Also, we ran out of copper shielding, and it's such a pain in the ass to completely disassemble a guitar just to install one single element.
This week, though...for sure.
