Wow, that image makes me think "silverburst would ROCK". You got any ideas for pickguard shape?

That looks awesome man, good luck with it.

honestly, i think it would look ace without a pickguard, the lipsticks are an awsome choice.

i agree. only problem will be it isnt a danelectro and is solid timber...i could route out the back and have a scratchy on the back. if you get meh?

Surface mounted singles are easy enough to do. Are those Strat size lipsticks, or real Dano sized ones?

Just get some foam and mount them like Jag pickups in the routes. If they're Strat sized you can get mounting rings too, which are pretty neat.

dano sized.

if I'm gonna do it it will be so they look like they do on a dano guitar.
at least from the front.

Yeah, I just discovered how Dano lipsticks mount. I reckon you should have the routes on the back, but instead of putting a big pickguard, have it like so:

Obviously it'll be less ugly than that, but essentially two small strips covering the slots, with just one screw at each end and a screwdriver sized hole so you can access the height adjustment screws, kinda like the holes in the back of a Strat back route. That'd be classy.

Not like that, the top horn looks unnatural.

And yeah, slants.

I reckon you should try the Strat style for the top half.
