Design-wise, what do you think?

Here's what I have so far. The headstock probably looks like another existing model, but my point was to highlight the shape of the pickguard via the curve on the top. Materials are rosewood fretboard, maple neck. And it's to scale
Here's a pic in the room with a Disco Ball

doesn't anybody design with clay anymore? it's so much better than drawing if you don't know how to draw.

A lot of the design elements look like stuff taht's already out there. I suppose that's just bound to happen, especially if you're going for a retro vibe.

Dude, say what you have to say in a more constructive way, or bounce the fuck off.handen wrote:A lot of the design elements look like they were hit by the short bus on the way to school.

Dude, I'll be damned if some fairweather poster is gonna step up in a thread with mad negativity and only negativity. We have had our differences, but this is OUR HOUSE. I would defend any of the regulars here the same. He can find a better way to criticize your work if he doesn't like it. I think we all can agree on that.Aug wrote:*I can't believe I'm about to utter these words...*jcyphe wrote:Dude, say what you have to say in a more constructive way, or bounce the fuck off.handen wrote:A lot of the design elements look like they were hit by the short bus on the way to school.

hahahah that's a Koll, he's an excellent builder. No offense but if you build a guitar even 1/4 as good as his, you'll be somewhere.

at least for now, I think key is simplicity. simple elecs, simple lines, etc...jcyphe wrote:hahahah that's a Koll, he's an excellent builder. No offense but if you build a guitar even 1/4 as good as his, you'll be somewhere.
We have a few assembly ideas that haven't been done yet (as far as I know)...I'm quite excited...and it's nice to see so many folks on here being so receptive and inviting...it means we're on the right track.
