Design-wise, what do you think?

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

Hell yeah. I'm going for the hardtail version!

not to be picky, but there doesn't seem to be much room between tailpiece and bridge pup for the bridge?

Also, is the neck end going to be angled like that? I thought you were planning on Fender interchangeable square neck pockets?

either way that template looks awesome 8)

the bridge is a LP Jr. Compensated bridge. Dave wants to put Hipshot Baby Grand bridges, but those bad-boys are almost $100 apiece!

The necks *are* essentially Fender 24"...but, I'm going to have the truss adjustment at the headstock, for obvious reasons, and I'll cut the neck butt in the shop.

As for Fender interchangable body designs, look to the future, young man!

I just found the answer to my question: they will have numbered plates. OKAY. I really want one!!

Aug, how quickly are you expecting to churn these out? when will the first ones be done? I may put a deposit down at the end of the month depending on options....

Yesssssss. Fucking boner. Honestly Aug I'm really happy with the look of the hardtail. Gotta put some money away cos I think this might be arriving sooner than thought.

What are you thinking about in terms of body thickness and contours?

Are you planning on doing a tremolo design? If you are, what type?

oh...and by the way, I think it would be best to use silkscreen decals on both the neck and body...just like the Crafted In Japan decal you see on fender necks and whatnot.

We'll prolly put the body decal under the clear coat under the pickguard or something.

I'm thinking I'd like to do something similar to the Jaguar's tremolo, but have most of the guts under the pickguard...but, before I get too crazy and start taking tremolo orders, I should make a few prototypes.

Also, I'm not married to the idea of using the Jaguar's trem as a jumping off point, I'm just trying to decide the best why to hide the trem.

The hard tail in the middle of the pickguard hinders on the elegance I think. It kinda lacks some style, if you don't mind me saying. It's just bolted on...
